Course Overview:
The course gives practical engineers insight into Power Distribution Systems with regards to their equipment’s theoretical construction, and operation. Participants are going to examine the basic aspects which power distribution entails such as system quality, harmonics, sags and swells.
The course includes components of the planning cycle, selection of important elements such as transformers, VAR compensators and classical and solid-state approaches to system protection.
In addition, it covers in detail commissioning, testing, routine operation and diagnosis of a power distribution system.
This course is designed only for engineers because of the technical and computational nature of the program, and it develops competence which helps in improving system efficiency and reliability.
