Course Overview:
The goal of the training course Prime Steel Structures for Students of the course Architecture and Design is to equip participants with the basic knowledge of design, analysis, and application of steel structure which is the most common in the industrial construction, especially in designing oil, gas, and petrochemical plants.
Towards the end of the program, the participants will appreciate the different types of loads that come about in the steel structures, the principles surrounding the use of composite sections and incorporate the current techniques associated with risk based inspection and maintenance management.
Other programs train in designing of steel beams, slabs and portals, gurdgeons and connections, foundations and supervise their designing using the Staad Pro V8i and Abaqus packages.
This is particularly useful for civil engineers, structural designers and builders as they broaden their scope of what steel structure design and construction entails.
