Course Overview:
The Introduction to Bond Markets Qualification (IBMQ) course creates a base for the participants pursuing a career within the global bond markets and fixed income analysis. These participants will cover exposure to several types of bonds including sovereign bonds, corporate bonds, bonds linked to inflation, securitizations and covered bonds.
The course includes description of bond instruments and basic assets such as risk and return expectations of fixed income securities, factors of interest rate risk, credit spread, yield curves, etc.
It goes further to explain the peculiar features of index linked bonds and their usefulness in hedge against some measure of inflation risk as well as the impact of recent developments in law and technology on the bond market.
