Electrical Maintenance, Testing, Inspection and Risk Assessment Course
Course Overview:
This course intends to give participants relevant expertise and in-depth understanding of the maintaining, testing and diagnosing of electrical systems.
The principles of maintenance, condition monitoring, testing, and safety practices, alongside dedicated sections of generators, motors, transformers, and circuit breakers, are included.
They will be trained in predictive maintenance, insulation checking, earthing systems and risk assessment to ensure safety, reliability and efficiency of equipment’s operations.
This course would be appropriate as top up training for electrical engineers, supervisors and technicians since it integrates academic and hands on aspects to enhance equipment performance and cut down business costs.
Course Objectives:
Participants attending this program will:
Return to their respective organizations equipped with new or refreshed skills to ensure that electrical equipment is inspected, tested, and operated in safe and a fashion that ensures reduced costs. On successful completion of this course, participants will have:
- A better understanding of maintenance purposes and types.
- A better understanding of inspection and testing methods
- Understand the principles of risk assessment and be able to apply these to the formulation of an appropriate policy for the maintenance of electrical equipment.
- Know the types of construction of electrical equipment for preventing electric shock and the hazards that can arise from defective equipment
- A better understanding of the updated electrical condition monitoring.
Who Should Attend?
This course is intended for Electrical Engineers, Electrical Supervisors, and Electrical Technicians engaged in the maintenance, inspection, and testing of Electrical Equipment. Because the methods and examples are generic, personnel from all industries will benefit. Participants require a good understanding of electricity and magnetism and possess some relevant experience.
