Course Overview:
This course covers all the basics of routine testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of basic electrical systems including motors, transformers, generators, circuit breakers and uninterruptible power supply systems.
Participants will be able to lower costs and enhance system reliability by efficiently learning how to choose, install and maintain these systems. Other subjects covered in the course include maintenance of the equipment through predictive, preventive and corrective strategies, condition monitoring, earthing systems and diagnostic testing.
The course is targeted at engineers, managers, and technicians and does not have any prerequisites from the candidates, making it relevant to professionals from all fields.
The study places strong emphasis on hands-on understanding of equipment functioning, fault finding, and safe operation of electrical systems for reliability and efficient use of the systems over an extended period.
Course Objectives:
This course is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the various types of motors, variable-speed drives, transformers, generators, rectifiers and inverters, uninterruptible power systems (UPS), circuit breakers, and fuses. Upon the successful completion of this course, participants will be able to specify select, commission, and maintain this equipment for their applications. Further, participants will have enough knowledge to achieve reduced capital, operating, and maintenance costs along with increase inefficiency. During the duration of this course, participants will:-

· Study selection criteria, commissioning requirements, predictive and preventive maintenance, reliability, testing, and cost.
