Course Overview:
The course teaches practical knowledge of maintenance of transformers, circuit breakers, busbars, measuring equipment’s, protection relays and batteries. The course participants will get acquainted with standards of substations, preventive maintenance and testing processes.
The course considers such aspects as types of transformers and their diagnosis, switchgears testing and maintenance, calibrating of protective relays. Some other topics include battery maintenance, ground resistance measurements and reading of schematic diagrams.
This course is suitable for electrical engineers and managers of utilities and industrial power electrical networks and it enables participants to relate practical examples with theoretical concepts to improve system reliability and functionality.
Course Objectives:
To perform proper maintenance on substations Equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, bus bars, metering, protective devices, batteries...etc. · The attendance will become familiar with substation standards.
