Design of Modern Electrical Distribution Systems Course
Course Overview:
The course covers all aspects related to the automation of the management level: LV and HV switchgear and circuit breakers selection, their operation and maintenance.
The participants will be introduced to the operation of CTs, VTs, and relays, and the connection of cables, the basics of working with the switchgears as well as safety measures.
The course includes basic topics such as load flow studies, fault current analysis, motor starter calculations, and breaker calculations. It also includes more advanced topics such as derating factors, busbar size calculations, protection unit calculations, and regular switchgear testing.
The course is aimed at engineers and supervisors of projects design and their commissioning, and it helps them acquire necessary technical skills for the management of Switchgear in an adequate and safe manner.
Course Objectives:
Delegates will learn about the following:
- Selection of appropriate type and rating of circuit breakers and switchgear.
