Design and Construction of High V Transmission Lines and high V Substation for Voltages of 132KV to 330KV Course
Course Overview:
The course in question is directed towards understanding the design, construction and maintenance of substations and transmission lines of 132kV to 330kV.
Students will study the engineering specifications, philosophy of the configuration, and the engineering techniques of the line design model which includes insulation, sag tension and electrical calculations, conductor termination, and grounding.
Moreover, the program includes parts of substations such as grading of sites, configuration of buses, SF6 systems, and grounding systems, and maintenance practices, rules of safety and fault protection.
This course is meant for utility electrical destaff and engineers and enables them to manage both transmission lines and substations solving reliability and safety issues.
Course Objectives:
- To understand the complete variety of sub-station design, maintenance, and line construction and maintenance
- To learn the technical requirements, configuration philosophies, design practices, and work processes
- To provide an introduction to concerned electrical engineers as well as other engineers related to substations and transmission lines for construction and maintenance work
Who Should Attend?
This course is intended for all Utility Electrical Personnel who are responsible for installing, configuring the transmission lines including protection of cables and troubleshooting faults as well as Electrical maintenance and engineering personnel who wish to gain a better understanding of transmission line protection and the procedures will find the course very useful.
