Course Overview:
The course develops an understanding in all participants on how the operating systems of a fossil fuel power plant work, including major auxiliaries and controls.
Participants will learn more about plant startup and shutdown procedures., dealing with plant trips, and understanding feedwater , fuel and burner, boiler water and steam, turbine and generator systems.
The course focuses on control and instrument systems of the plant and also covers the logic related to non-repairable variables and equipment failures. Aimed at utilities managers, supervisors, engineers and novice operators, this course enables participants to develop hands-on skills in managing and efficient power plant operations.
