Corrosion Control in Oil and Gas: Mitigating and Controlling Corrosion Damage Mechanisms in Oil, Gas and Water Course
Course Overview:
The subject of this training course involves materials of the oil and gas and water exploration and utilization industry and deals with theories on corrosion, its mechanism and control methods.
It is expected that the participants will get acquainted with various types of corrosion such as galvanic, pitting, microbiological induced corrosion, and others related to the sectors' industries.
Further the course considers a number of different corrosion surveillances and inspections methods: ultrasonic testing, radiographic examination, intelligent pigs and etc.
It encompasses techniques such as cathodic protection, passive protection by means of coatings, and the application of inhibitors.
This training course is intended for petroleum engineers, process engineers, inspectors and maintenance engineers.
