Course Overview:
This seminar is focused on equipping engineers with the knowledge regarding ACI standards when designing, constructing or repairing any sort of reinforced concrete construction.
The course includes major issues such as: physical properties of concrete, design codes, requirements for strength and serviceability, and failure probability under ACI’s guidelines.
Also included is instruction on concrete mixtures proportions, materials specifications, quality assurance, and the construction of beams, slabs and columns. Furthermore, the seminar deals with the design of structures with respect to earthquakes, assessment of the condition of the existing structures and concrete repair strategies including the use of polymers and epoxy.
